Meal preparation service

We all know healthy eating is essential to achieving your athletic and lifestyle goals. However, let’s be honest – IT’S HARD, time consuming and tedious. Knowing what and how much to eat can also be overwhelming.  We’ve been there, done that and want to take the guess work out of clean eating for you!

There are two different recipes prepared each week. You choose your frequency and your calorie option:

o   4, 6 or 10 meals/week (this works out to 2, 3 and 5 meals of each recipe respectively each week)

o   450, 600 or 750 calories per meal

  • We will shop, prep, measure, and package your meals – you just warm them up and enjoy!

  • Containers for storing your food are recyclable.  Give them a rinse when you are finished with them and toss them in the blue bins.

  •  Pick meals up at Ignite Athletics smoothie bar every Tuesday from 1:30pm on or have them delivered for an additional charge.

You can choose the calorie and frequency option on your own OR you can meet with our Dietician, Mat Leung. Mat will customize your choices and ensure you are signed up for the right option to fuel your body properly. If you choose to meet with Mat, he will build you a customized plan that incorporates everything you should be consuming during your day in addition to the prepared meals. The plan will work around your individual schedule and goals!  (Appointment cost with Mat is an additional charge but can be submitted for reimbursement through most benefit plans.)

Performance Nutrition

Sports nutrition is the application of regular nutrition practices with a focus on the physically active population. Meeting the needs of sport and exercise can be challenging as there are a variety of influences within and outside an individual’s personal environment. The types of food we choose and when we eat may impact the ability to perform and remain in sport. There are many different challenges that athletes experience (ie inability to maintain weight, upset stomach on race day, or dehydration during training camp) that can impact the quality of performance. Having the support and guidance from a Registered Dietitian can help athletes manage their nutrition needs and perform at their best.

A Registered Dietitian is a trained nutrition professional that has met the legal and professional standards set by the provincial regulatory body (Saskatchewan Dietitians Association) to deliver safe, ethical, and quality service. Assessing and interpreting the needs and goals of each individual separately will optimize the nutrition therapy provided. Necessary and timely follow-up will ensure that services remain relevant and appropriate for individuals. Utilization of the training staff and equipment at IGNITE ATHLETICS will further enhance the measurement of progress.
