Ignite Athletics is very excited to be able to offer an Olympic Weightlifting class for both competitive and recreational athletes!
Olympic Weightlifting revolves around the development of 2 main lifts: the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. These lifts are so technical that they've earned themselves a spot as an Olympic event for years! They require great mobility, coordination, and technical ability, and are also some of the best exercises out there for the development of speed and power.
This class will be a great fit for anyone, including but not limited to:
Athletes who want to develop their strength and power using Olympic lifts
Crossfit Athletes who want to improve the weightlifting aspect of their sport
Anyone interested in the actual sport of Olympic Weightlifting with goals of competing
Anyone who wants to train lifelong like an athlete
People who want to improve their mobility and resiliency
Sessions are 60 minutes in length.
These groups currently run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Times available at 6:30 pm.
It is recommended that you book in for one or two personal training sessions with Donovan before starting with the group. He can assess your movement skills and prepare you for your first class.

The whole premise of the class is to improve your skill at running and general athleticism. The classes are perfect for anyone that plays recreational sports, runs long distance, or just wants to be more active and stay healthy. The class emphasizes strength exercises designed to help weak areas we typically see in most athletes. We provide lots of drills specific to improving running and sprinting mechanics. We use targeted warm-ups to help with movement efficiency and preparing the body for specific running or lifting skills of that day. There will generally be a more specific focus on strength based training on Tuesday. Thursday will focus more on practising and enhancing running/sprinting mechanics. Your personal goals will be taking into account and certain exercise or specific drills can be changed to more accurately suit your personal goals or training.
These groups currently run Tuesday and Thursday 6-7 am.

IGNITE ATHLETICS offers one on one Personal Training for anyone who does not prefer the group dynamic or who wants individual attention. This service is available to anyone who is looking for performance-related or health and wellness-related goals. All fitness levels and weight room experience are welcome. We will help guide you to your specific goals with a comprehensive approach to allow you to be the best version of yourself.

SEMI-PRIVATE SMALL GROUP TRAINING
IGNITE ATHLETICS offers Semi-Private Small Group training for those who do prefer the group dynamic. This service is great for family members, friends, or co-workers who have common desire for fitness and health. This service is available to anyone who is looking for performance-related or health and wellness-related goals. All fitness levels and weight room experience are welcome.
